As an integral part of the University of Nevada, Reno School of Public Health, the Larson Institute for Health Impact and Equity (Larson Institute) fosters community-engaged research, training, capacity building, and workforce development initiatives that measure impact and elevate the health status of diverse populations. The Larson Institute oversees four sub-centers that conduct cutting-edge research, design impactful training programs, implement equity-focused health policy initiatives, and cultivate meaningful public health partnerships.

The Larson Institute for Health Impact and Equity aspires to carry on the legacy of Dr. Trudy Larson by being a pioneer in the field of public health, spearheading the fight for health equity and change. The Larson Institute is a tribute to Dr. Trudy Larson’s 44-year career of dedicated, passionate service to medicine, public health, and equity.
